Dalek - BBC
Sarah was commissioned by the BBC to make a life sized Dalek from rubbish.
To celebrate the new series of Dr Who, Sarah handmade the Dalek from all sorts of rubbish including: CDs, bicycle tyres, inner tubes, recycled card, yarn reels, chocolate box trays, old Christmas decorations, bottle caps and drinks cans.
Sarah says, “I had so much fun making the Dalek! It’s so different to anything I have made before so at first I felt a little out of my comfort zone but I really feel like I ended up thriving on the challenge! It was such an honour to be asked by the BBC to make such a legendary TV icon.”
The BBC installed stop motion cameras in the studio to capture the making process step by step.
